Leonid Kogan - Cantabile, Paganini
Through space and time...
Soviet violinist Leonid Kogan died in december 1982, late evening in suburban train near Mytischi station (small city not far from Moscow), coming back from concert to his village house. He was 58 years old and recently finished recordings of Paganini`s violin pieces for soviet movie "Nicola Paganini"... Its interesting, that Paganini himself also died at the same age (58) in 1840, but in more warm place, italian city Genova.
